The rains of El Nino have carpeted Santa Margarita Ranch with a dazzling array of colorful wildflowers, and now you can come see them for yourself with our free Humvee Tour & Walk Through The Wildflowers on Saturday, March 19. It’s all part of the Santa Margarita Wildflower Festival.
We will stage three tours that day, starting at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. The tours are hosted by California Wild, the nature education division of Margarita Adventures, and begin with a ride out to the ranch on the official California Wild classic open-air Humvee. The tours will then stop at various wildflower locations to walk amid Mother Nature’s astounding artwork.
The tours are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The tours last 1.5 hours. Each tour can accommodate up to 30 people. The tours are appropriate for ages seven and up. Guests are encouraged to wear sturdy closed-toed shoes and bring drinking water. Sunhats, sunscreen and cameras are recommended.
We look forward to experiencing these natural splendors with you!
Directions to tour departure point: Take Highway 58, pass cemetery, before bridge turn left onto Santa Margarita Ranch. Look for the California Wild Sign. Please arrive 15 minutes early to secure your spot, sign a waiver and board the Humvee.
